I admire what you're trying to do, as I am trying something similar on my land. This is out-of-the-blue but I'm an aspiring permie here in upstate NY and will be coming to CA next week to start cancer treatment at Loma Linda Medical Center. I'm looking for a work/shelter exchange situation where I could help out with organic gardening/permaculture projects in exchange for room and board. If you happen to know of anyone in the area that might be open to such an arrangement, could you please get back to me.
My treatment will require me to go in to LLUMC for about an hour/day for approx. 2 months starting Oct 4th. Other than that I'll be free and available to work, play, live, eat, etc. I'm in good shape and I've been reassured that my energy should remain high throughout the treatment.
